PUA openers or pickup lines are supposed to be able to help you, if you are a man, start a conversation with a woman. One has to understand that first impressions are lasting ones. So a man wants to be able to say the right things in order to make the right impression. Here are some things about pickup lines that one should keep in mind.
If what you say is the same as every other guy that walks into a room, then you have lost before you have even started. You should be able to say something that is unique and that sets you apart from the rest. If you can hold a woman’s interest long enough and she does not seem uncomfortable, then you are on the right track.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the conversation has to be real. Trying to get by with the average small talk is not going to work, especially with a woman who prefers to use her brain. With small talk there is also the tendency to have too many long silences in the conversation which can cause someone to lose interest.

But, if he engages her friends or anyone else that she is with, then it is easy to come across as being friendly and genuine, not desperate.
A good opener could be an interesting statement or fact that a person has never considered before. It could also be a story where a man has to get the opinion of the woman he has started the conversation with. There are a number of possibilities, one simply has to know how to tailor each opening according to the specific environment he is in.
Once one is aware of what a pickup line should be like, they can probably form a few of their own. If not, there are places online where one can find those that have been already tested by others. This is probably the safest way to use pickup lines for your next encounter.
